Averaged 25.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in a 2-0 week in conference while shooting 72 percent (18-for-25) from the field,76.9 percent from three (10-for-13). At UMB, Christopher scored eight of her game-high 21 points in the second quarter as USM opened a 12-point lead and then scored seven in the fourth to seal the game, shooting 8-for-12 overall and 5-for-8 from three, adding a game-high 8 rebounds. At home vs. WestConn, Christopher had a career-best 30 points in a 79-55 win, shooting 10-for-13 and 5-5 from three. With 10 rebounds she had the first double-double of the season. Christopher scored 10 points in the first and second quarter as USM led big 42-24. Christopher was a perfect 7-for-7 in the first half and 3-for-3 from three.

 

 

       

Maddie Topa
Eastern Connecticut
Freshman • Guard • New Hartford, CT

In a 2-1 week which included an opening Little East Conference win on the road, freshman wing Maddie Topa started all three games and averaged 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds with seven assists, three steals and a blocked shot in an average of 32 minutes. When Eastern reached the championship gameof the Williams College Shooting Touch Tournament, Topa averaged 13 points and 7.5 rebounds with five assists, two steals and a block and shot 45.8percent (11-of-24) from the floor with three three-pointers.

 

 

NEWBA First Team
  • Kiara Cerruti, Framingham St. - Cerruti averaged 26 points and 3.5 rebounds in two games last week. Cerruti tallied 30 points with four rebounds in the Rams last second loss to Conn. College. Cerruti tallied the go ahead score for the Rams with just under four seconds left before the Camels won the game at the buzzer. Cerruti closed the week with 22 points and three rebounds in a loss to Emerson. Anderson averaged 10.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in two games last week. She tallied 12 points with three rebounds in the loss to Conn. College and added nine points, two rebounds and two assists in loss at Emerson.
  • Carrie Hess, Springfield -  Springfield senior Carrie Hess put up career-high point totals in back-to-back games leading the Pride to wins over both Worcester State and Laser thisweek. Hess began the week with 20 points in a 75-50 victory over the Lancers before she put up 29 points in a 76-68 win over the Lasers. In nearly 67minutes of play, Hess shot at a 66.7-percent from the floor (22-for-33) and buried all three of her attempts from behind the arc. The junior forward alsoadded ten rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block this week for the Pride.
  • Grace Jaffray, Johnson & Wales - Jaffray averaged 21.5 ppg and nine rebounds in a pair of JWU wins to move them to 3-0 in conference play. The Blue Hill, Maine native went for 17 points,six boards and three assists in a 17-point home win over Roger Williams on Tuesday, then filled the stat sheet with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists in a road win at Nichols on Saturday. Jaffray is averaging a conference-leading 25.1 ppg thus far in 2025-26.
  • Grace Kinum, Bowdoin - In wins over #11/#15 Bates and #19/RV Colby, Kinum stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 17.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks. In a double-overtime win at Bates, the guard scored a career high 26 points with 10 rebounds and four steals. In a defensive battle versus Colby, thesophomore finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and three steals.
  • Maddie Zancan, Regis - Zancan averaged 23.0 points on 70.4 percent shooting, along with 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 1–1 week for the Pride. She opened the stretch by tying her career high with 32 points (13–17 FG) and adding 14 rebounds in a setback against Wheaton, before following up with 14 points (6–10 FG) in just 19 minutes of action in Saturday's win over Fitchburg State. Zancan also tallied three steals in both contests, making key contributions on both ends of the floor.

  • Elsa Daulerio, Bates - Daulerio scored a season-high 20 points on 8-16 shooting to carry the Bobcats to a 61-50 win at Colby last week. She also grabbed a game-high eightrebounds, dished out a team-high three assists, and blocked a pair of shots against the Mules. She followed that up with 14 points, a team-high ninerebounds, a team-high four assists, a game-high four blocked shots, and a steal against Bowdoin. Daulerio is averaging 2.3 blocked shots per game, topsin the NESCAC.
  • Melanie DeMeo, UMass Dartmouth - DeMeo aided the Corsairs to a 1-1 week after dropping 42 total points, averaging 21.0 points per game, across the opening two games of conference action. She went 16-29 from the field for an impressive 55.2 shooting percenatge featuring one triple (1-3) and a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. She also recorded nine rebounds, nine assists, and five steals for UMass Dartmouth. On Saturday, DeMeo recorded a career-high 26 points against VTSUCastleton to power the Corsairs over the Spartans, 67-57, for their first conference win of the season. In the Little East, DeMeo currently ranks fifth overall in both total points (131) and points per game average (16.4) while her 45 made field goals sits fourth overall in the league.
  • Sophie Hedge, WNEU - Averaged 18.0 points per game this week over three games, helping the Golden Bears to three victories. Picked up a career-high 24 points on 9/15shooting over the University of Hartford in Conference of New England play. Scored 15 points in just minutes of action in a blowout win over Elms College.Added another 15 points on 6/11 shooting in a dominant WNE win over Westfield State. Totaled 17 rebounds, four assists, and a pair of steals over thethree games.
  • Jessie Silk, Emerson - Led the Lions with 19.5 points per game on 73.7-percent shooting (14-for-19), including 6-for-7 (85.7%) from three-point range, in a 1-1 week. She alsocontributed a team-high 8.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game for the week while chipping in a steal and blocked shot. Paced Emerson's 85-75 victoryover Framingham State on Saturday with a game-high 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting, including all four three-point tries, six rebounds, a season-highseven assists and a steal. Silk notched her sixth double-double of the season at Emmanuel on Thursday with 13 points, ten rebounds and four assists
  • Katherine Vaughan, Brandeis - Vaughan led the Judges to a 1-1 week by averaging 19 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game while shooting 73.3% from the field (11-15)and 76.2% from the line (16-21). In a 76-71 win over Clark, she had 24 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots, hitting 7-8 from the field and 12-14 fromthe line. It was her second career 20+ point game and her sixth double-double. In a 67-62 loss at Tufts, Brandeis's first of the season, Vaughan had 14 points and 7 rebounds, shooting 5-8 from the field and 4-7 from the line. The Judges were ahead by three with two minutes remaining when Tufts used a seven-point possession after a technical foul to take the lead for good.
