Yamada etched herself into the Smith record books as the senior guard scored her 1,000th career point and became the program's all-time leader in career three-pointers. She averaged 26 points and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 63.6% from three-point range. In Smith's win at Coast Guard, she poured in 22 points and shot 6-of-9 from three. She followed that with a career-high 30 points and eight 3-pointers in a win over Clark.

Freshman • Guard • Medfield, MA

Olenik averaged 21.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 NESCAC weekend for the Mules. Olenik extended a streak of reaching double-digits in the scoring column to 20 straight games, the guard tallied 24 points on Friday in Colby's first victory over Tufts since 2011 and 19 points on Saturday as the Mules knocked off Bates to hand the Bobcats their first conference loss of the season. The first-year point guard played 78 out of 80 minutes combined in the two road games.

 

 

NEWBA First Team
  • Jordyn Franzen, UNE (Sr. | Guard | Salem, NH) - Recorded her sixth double-double of the year in a road win over Nichols, which included a career-high 35 points, the highest single-game output within the program since 2002-03. The team's 113 points in the contest was the most since 2008-09.
  • Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (Sr. | Guard | Manchester, NH) - Grumblatt averaged 32.5 points, 5.0 reb, and 3.0 assists as the senior guard helped the Raiders keep two games close in GNAC competition. In Saturday's loss at Regis, Grumblatt scored 39 points on 46.2% shooting, including 50% (6-of-12) shooting behind the arc.
  • Jeniyah Jones, RIC (Sr. | Guard | Randolph, MA) - Named the Little East Player of the Week. Jones led the third-ranked Anchorwomen to a 2-0 week and increased the program-record win streak to 22 games (22-0). She shot .769 (10-for-22) and averaged 10.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 2.0 apg and 2.0 spg. She had 12 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and a steal in the club's, 62-50, win at UMass Dartmouth on Jan. 31. Jones had nine points, seven boards, two assists and three steals (in only 22 minutes) in a 78-38 win at Plymouth State on Feb. 3.
  • Kathleen Rodriguez, NEC (Sr. | Center | McFarland, CA) -  Rodriguez posted one of the most impressive performances in NEC history on Saturday against Mitchell College, shooting a perfect 16-of-16 from the floor for a career high 32 points with 14 rebounds. Rodriguez 100% field goal percentage on 16 shots matched the NCAA Division III all-time shooting record for a single-game. At press time, the senior was leading the nation in field goal percentage. For the week, Rodriguez averaged 25.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game on 88.9 percent shooting as the 'Grims went 2-0.
  • Kelsey Yelle, Framingham State (Jr. | Forward | Barnstable, MA) - Yelle averaged 17 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shot 56% from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Rams. Yelle finished with a double double of 18 points and 12 rebounds in the Rams 59-58 victory over Bridgewater State. She finished the week with 16 points and seven rebounds in a win at Salem State.

  • Christina Antonakakis, MIT (Sr. | Guard | Holmdel, NJ) - In a 2-1 week for MIT, Christina Antonakakis averaged 15.7 points while shooting 41.3 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from behind the arc. One of three players to reach double-digits in scoring, she tallied 10 points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist in a 65-51 loss to Middlebury on Tuesday. The following day in a 70-62 victory at Emerson, Antonakakis was once again a member of a trio of double-digit scoring performances. She posted 12 points in a balanced offensive effort to go along with three rebounds and one assist. Antonakakis closed out the week with a game-high 25 points and added three assists in a 72-59 victory at Coast Guard.
  • Maria Barela, Maine Maritime (Jr. | Guard | Albuquerque, NM) - Barela led the Mariners to three conference wins this week by stuffing the stat sheet with 42 points, shooting 58% from the hardwood, 21 rebounds, 17 assists, eight steals, and two blocks. She started the week scoring a game-high 14 points, going 6-for-10 from the floor, while adding four rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a 69-46 win against UMaine-Farmington. The junior guard followed up on Friday night in a 90-53 win against UMaine-Presque Isle with 12 points, going 5-for-9 from the floor, a game-high eight assists, seven rebounds, two steals, and one block. Barela finished the week in a 92-62 win against the Owls with a double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, in addition to a tied game-high six assists, three steals, and one block.
  • Amanda DeAngelis, Suffolk (Sr. | Forward | Londonderry, NH) - DeAngelis averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds per game in wins over Western New England and Wentworth.
  • Arianna Gerig, Williams (Jr. | Forward | Westport, CT) - Gerig averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game during a 1-1 NESCAC weekend for the Ephs. She led all players with 20 points and six assists, to go along with eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks during a 73-62 win at Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. Gerig led all players with 13 points and seven rebounds at Trinity on Friday evening.
  • Madi Zanzan, Regis (So. | Forward | Cumberland, RI) - Zancan led Regis College in both games over the past week. Wednesday night against New England College, she shot 8-for-11 from the field as she finished with 20 points and nine rebounds. In Saturday's victory over Rivier, she earned her 10th double-double of the season, leading the Pride with 26 points and 13 rebounds as she shot 8-for-14 from the field and 9-for-12 from the free throw line. It was her 10th game this season with 20 or more points as she improved her scoring average to 18.6 ppg, fifth in the GNAC in scoring.
