Maria Barela led the Mariners to a 2-0 week against conference opponents with 44 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Barela started off the weekend with a game-high 22 points, shooting 67% from the hardwood and 63% from beyond the arc, in addition to five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a 83-58 victory against SUNY Canton. She followed up on Saturday afternoon in a 95-79 win against NVU-Johnson with a team-high 22 points, on 57% shooting, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Evelyn Dagan put up big numbers for the Mariners with 25 points, on 53% shooting, four rebounds, and one steal. In a 83-58 victory against SUNY Canton, Dagan tallied 11 points, one rebound, and one steal. She followed up in a 95-79 win against NVU-Johnson with14 points and three rebounds.

  • Anna Barry, Eastern Conn. (Sr. | Forward | Andover, CT) - In a 2-0 week, Anna Barry averaged 16.5 points and 16.0 rebounds and also had eight total blocks and three steals. She was 14-of-20 from the floor. In a 62-45 road win over the University of Southern Maine Thursday, she had 24 points and 20 rebounds with seven blocked shots. She sank her first nine shots from the floor and finished 11-of-12. It was her seventh double-double in the last eight games and tenth this season. Barry leads the LEC (13.2) in rebounding, is second in blocks (36) and field goal percentage (15.1) and third in scoring (15.6)
  • Izabelle Booth, Rhode Island College (Sr. | Forward | Newport, RI) - Booth averaged 17.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.0 bpg and 1.0 spg as RIC raised its current win streak to 14 games with two LEC wins. She had nine points, eight rebounds, one assist and a block in a 63-38 win over Western Connecticut on Jan. 11. Booth had a career-high 25 points to go along with five rebounds, five assists, one block and a pair of steals in an 87-47 win over Plymouth State on Jan. 14. She shot .609 (14-for-23) from the field for the week.
  • Chelsea Gibbons, Emerson (Sr. | Guard | Foxborough, MA) - In a 2-0 week, guard Chelsea Gibbons led the way averaging 19.5pts / 11 rebounds / 5 assists / 2.5 steals. She shot 61.5% from 3 for the week
  • Kylie Grassi, Bridgewater St. (So. | Forward | Plymouth, MA) - Averaged 19 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears. Posted her first collegiate double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds (four offensive) to go along with an assist and a steal in an 83-62 MASCAC win on the road over Worcester State. Tallied 25 points, eight rebounds (four offensive), two assists and a blocked shot in a 71-64 victory over Wheaton.
  • Alexa Mustafaj, Middlebury (So. | Guard | Yonkers, NY) - Alexa Mustafaj helped lead Middlebury in a dominant 84-68 victory at #25 Bowdoin on Friday night. She tallied a career-best 38 points, while setting a new school record with a perfect 16-16 from the charity stripe. The victory was the first for the Panthers against the Polar Bears since 2000. Mustafaj recorded 18 points the following day in a tight conference loss, averaging 28 points per game over the weekend.

  • Keagan Dunbar, UNE (Sr | Guard | Middlebury, VT) - Dunbar averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Nor'Easters.
  • Pam Gonzalez, Regis (Sr. | Guard | Revere, MA) - Gonzalez averagaed 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week. She finished with 23 points, 15 rebounds and four steals against Emmanuel. 
  • Dede Stevenson, Mitchell (Sr. | Guard | Hartford, CT) - The guard averaged 19.7 points per game to lead the Mitchell College women's basketball team to a 2-1 record on the week. Stevenson also averaged 3.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest, while shooting 40% from the floor, 40% from three-point range, and 75% from the free throw line. It's the first time this season that Stevenson has earned NECC Player of the Week honors.
  • Kelly Walsh, Babson (Jr. | G | Goffstown, NH) - Walsh scored 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go along with season highs of seven rebounds and four assists to help No. 11/12 Babson defeat Springfield, 75-55, in its only game of the week last Wednesday. She also contributed three steals as the Beavers extended their winning streak to five games.
  • Kaylin Zalewski, UMass Dartmouth (Jr. | Guard | Johnston, RI) - In a 2-0 week for the Corsairs, Zalewski averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
