Produced her first collegiate double-double behind an impressive 29-point, 22-rebound effort to anchor Suffolk to an 87-68 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over Nichols. The 22 boards are the most for a single player in the Rams game-by-game record book, which dates through the 2010-11 campaign.

Sophomore forward Jordan Ouellette kicked of 2022 with back-to-back 20-point performances and nearly averaged a double-double to lead the Blue Jays on the week. In the first two contests of the new calendar year, Ouellette averaged 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 56.3% (18-32) from the field and 83.3% (5-6) from the free-throw line. Ouellette opened the week with 20 points (9-15 FG) and five rebounds on Tuesday in a setback on the road at GNAC powerhouse Saint Joseph's College of Maine. The 5-8 Bristol product followed that up with a monster 21-point (9-17 FG), 13-rebound double-double at home on Saturday where the Blue Jays were edged in the final seconds, 71-70, by Rivier. Ouellette has now scored 20-plus points in five of her last six outings and leads the Blue Jays on the season averaging 15.9 points per game. She also currently leads the GNAC in field-goal percentage, shooting it at a 56.2% clip through 11 games.

 

Honor Roll
  • Allie Goodman, UNE (Sr. | Guard | Durham, Maine) - Goodman poured in a career-high 26 points in UNE's lone win of the week over Western New England. The senior forward scored 22 points in the final 19 minutes of the 80-73 win over the Golden Bears. 
  • Melanie Presseau, WPI (Sr. | Guard | Manchester, N.H.) - Presseau erupted for a career-high 23 points as WPI defeated Trinity 56-46 on Tuesday. The senior was 9-of-17 from the field versus the Bantams, knocking down a career-best five treys to help the Engineers to the win. WPI has now won three straight since the holiday break, with the three victories coming versus teams with a combined record of 25-10 through Sunday.
  • Maggie Russell, Tufts University (So. | Forward |Morristown, N.J.) - Russell led Tufts to a 20-point win over Wesleyan in the NESCAC opener on Friday night. She scored 15 points in the first quarter when Tufts took a 26-17 lead. The score was tied 10-10, then Russell led a 17-6 Jumbo run over the remainder of the period with 13 points. Including 13 points and seven rebounds in a win over Babson on Sunday, Russell averaged 20 points and 9.5 rebounds for the week.
  • Alexa Dufries, Rivier (Fy. | Forward | Leicester, Mass.) - Dufries continues to be a big part of the Raiders offense. She averaged 20 points a game this week. Dufries scored 40 total points, with her best game coming in a conference win against USJ. In that game, she scored 23 points, shooting a 46.7% from the field and 50% behind the arc.
  • Kerry Tanke, Brandeis (Sr. | Forward| Manalapan, N.J.)  -  Tanke scored a game- and career-high 20 points in a 76-68 loss to NYU on Saturday. She was 7-14 from the field and 6-10 from the line She also had a team-high eight rebounds in the loss. It was her fifth game scoring in double figures this season and the fourth time she shot 50% from the field each. Also of note: Camila Casanueva became the 10th player in school history to score her 1,000th career point against NYU with a basket with 6:35 remaining in the 4th quarter.
  • Jalen Cook, Plymouth State (Jr. | Guard| Monkton, Vt.)  -  Cook put together an efficient line for Plymouth State as the junior guard scored 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting against UMass-Boston. Cook also grabbed six rebounds in the contest.
