Sophomore • Forward • Andover, Mass.

Helped Eastern reclaim first place in the Little East Conference with two conference win that ran its overall winning streak to five straight and 12 of its last 13. In two games, she averaged 15.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.0 blocked shot, shot 60.9 percent from the floor and 75.0 percent (3-of-4) from the foul line, and handed out seven assists. In a 79-71 mid-week home win over Western Connecticut, she had 14 points, 14 rebounds, seven blocked shots and five assists. In a 78-61 win at UMass Boston Saturday, she had 17 points (8-of-10 from the floor) and seven rebounds with three blocked shots and only one turnover in 31 minutes.


Megan Bauman
Babson College
Freshman • Guard • East Lyme, Conn.

Bauman averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists to lead Babson to wins over Emerson and Smith. The first-year point guard put up 17 points, eight boards and three assists in Wednesday's 80-56 road victory over the Lions and then scored a career-high 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting to go along with six rebounds and three assists in a 79-71 OT victory over Smith.

 

Honor Roll
  • Karli Opalka, Roger Williams University (So. | Forward | Southbury, Conn.) - Opalka secured her eighth and ninth double-double of the season in wins over Western New England and Wentworth. Early in the week, the sophomore went for 17 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals against the Golden Bears, then, rounded out the week with a 23-point, 10-rebound performance against Wentworth. Opalka has registered five 20-10 games this season. 
  • Emily Velozo, Framingham State (Sr. | Guard | Tewksbury, Mass.) - Averaged 24 points, 6.5 boards, 4 assists and 1.5 steal in a 2-0 week for the Rams. Scored 18 points, including her 1,000th career point in the Rams 77-51 win over Fitchburg. Added 30 points on 5-of-9 from beyond the arch in the Rams 100-74 win over Westfield St later in the week. 
  • Melissa Gray, Westfield State (Sr. | Guard | Peabody, Mass.) - Averaged 28.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 2 assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Owls. Gray netted 36 points with 10 rebounds and five steals in a 96-72 win at MCLA, and added 21-13-4 in a loss at Framingham State.
  • Lexie Hamilton, Colby Sawyer (Sr. | Guard | Sunapee, N.H.) - Hamilton nearly averaged a triple double in a 1-1 week for the Chargers. The senior guard finished with 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game. She began the week with 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a tough 58-52 loss to Emmanuel. Hamilton then recorded her second career triple double of 15 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds in a 76-61 win over Anna Maria.
  • Peace Kabari, Trinity College (Sr. | Guard | Manchester, N.H.) - The senior guard shot nearly 50% from the field and beyond the arc in a two-game week for the Bantams. In an early week win over Middlebury, Kabari finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks. Later in the week, Kabari was sensational against Williams finishing with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals, finishing the week averaging 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2.0 blocks for Trinity.
