- Devon Quattrocchi, Smith College (Sr., G, Brewster,
N.Y.) - Quattrocchi led Smith to a 3-0 week with
career high numbers. She scored what was a career high with 18
points, five rebounds, and six assists against Springfield, then
re-set that career high with 20 points and five steals against
Coast Guard. The senior capped week with a 12-point, five-assist,
four-steal performance as Smith won their fifth straight game,
68-47 over Trinity. It was the first time Smith had beaten Trinity
in 10 years.
- Denisha Parks, Elms College (So., F, Fall River,
Mass.) - Parks netted 28 points on 13-for-20 shooting
with 11 rebounds in a loss to Regis College. Earlier in the
week, she totalled 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots
in a 70-49 win over Becker College. For the week, she shot 50
percent from the floor and 70 percent from the free throw
line.
- Colleen Moriarty, UMass-Dartmouth (Sr., F, Canton,
Mass.) - Moriarty averaged 21 points and nine
rebounds per game in three games this week for the Corsairs, making
51.7 percent of her shots from the field, while adding seven
blocked shots and adding six steals. She scored a season-high
26 points against Salve Regina, and netted the winning basket
against Brandeis with five seconds left, then blocked a potential
game-winning shot in the final seconds.
- Amy Fahey, Fitchburg State University (Jr., F,
Wilmington, Mass.) - Fahey recorded a pair of
double-doubles as the Falcons went 2-0 last week, including 23
points and 14 boards in a 66-55 victory over Lasell to go with 20
points and 12 caroms in 61-59 triumph over Emerson.
- Danny Rainer, Williams College (Sr., F, Marlborough,
Mass.) - Rainer shot 85.6% from the field last week,
missing just two shots in total. In a win over Wesleyan, she
did not miss a shot, going 8-for-8 with 19 points, 14 rebounds,
four assists, and three blocks. She added 10 more points
against Skidmore with 10 points, five rebounds, and three blocked
shots.
