Decker Leads Women's Basketball to 70-35 Win

Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Cabrini College women's basketball team found its scoring touch in Friday's 70-35 win over Western New England University at the Land of Magic Classic.  The victory improves the Cavalier to 6-3 on the year after the first ever meeting between the two teams.

Sophomore Megan Decker led three Cavaliers in double figure scoring with a career-high 17 points on 8-12 shooting.  Juniors Brittany Sandone and Annie Rivituso combined for 21 points in the win.

The Blue and White continued its rebounding dominance, grabbing 61 boards to Western New England's 29.  The Cavaliers also turned 27 offensive rebounds into 24 points.  Sophomore Amber Keys matched a career-high with 12 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass.   Decker and Rivituso grabbed nine rebounds each, while junior Colleen Stewart added eight rebounds for Cabrini.

Cabrini held the Bears to a season-low 24.5% shooting, including 0-12 from beyond the three point line, and 23 points below their season average.

The Blue and White will return to action on Sunday, when they face Kenyon College (8-1) in their second game in Florida.  Tip time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
