The Panthers of ACPHS fell to the Panthers of Middlebury College Wednesday night by a score of 60-70. ACPHS battled to stay in the non-conference game, as
Alyson Johnson scored a game high 22 points and blocked five shots.
Down by four at the break, the Panthers struggled as Middlebury scored the first six points of the second half to take a 10-point lead. Determined to stay in the game, the ACPHS Panthers were able to close the gap to four points on a layup from
Taylor Sullivan.
ACPHS stayed within striking distance until the 4:14 minute mark when Middlebury pulled away with a 14 point lead.
Unable to slow the attack, the game ended with Middlebury up by 10.
Kelsey Johnson scored 14 points, followed by
Alex Oaks with nine,
Taylor Sullivan with six and
Alexa Schooley with five.
The ACPHS Panthers return to conference play on Saturday, February 4th as they travel to Brooklyn to face St Joseph's.
