Binkhorst earns the NEWBA/Prestosports Player of the Week honor after helping Bowdoin College advance to the semifinals of the NESCAC tournament.  Binkhorst piled up 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting form the floor and passed out seven assists as the No. 24 Polar Bears routed No. 20 Williams College 71-46.

Husson College
Freshman • Guard • Presque Isle, Maine

Guerrette averaged 18 points per game across two Husson wins this week to earn the NEWBA Rookie of the Week honor. En route to a career-high 30 points against UMF, Guerrette shot 53.3 percent (8-for-15) from the field and 91.7 percent (11-for-12) from the free throw line. She also grabbed 11 rebounds, got five steals, and dished out eight assists on the week.

  • Denisha Parks, Elms College (Jr., F, Fall River, Mass.) - Parks held Elms to a 2-0 week netting 25.0 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per contest. She netted 31 points in a 77-74 win over Bay Path and added 14 boards against the Wildcats. She hit 42.9-percent of her shots from the field and added a total of four assists and three steals during the two-game stretch. 
  • Alyssa Leonard, Castleton State College (Sr., G, Amherst, Mass.) - Leonard scored a career-high 24 points in Castleton’s 100-34 blowout of Green Mountain on Saturday. She played just 18 minutes on Senior Day but shot 11-for-14 from the field and made 13 of her final 14 shots. Leonard also added 11 rebounds and two assists for her fourth double-double of the year. Leonard currently leads the team in scoring (13.8), assists (3.4) and is third on the team in rebounding (6.4).
  • Ginny Fleming, Salem State University (Sr., F, Peabody, Mass.) - Fleming led the Vikings to a pair of wins, averaging 22 points and 11.5 rebounds.  The senior poured in 20 points, pulled down eight rebounds in a victory over Bridgewater State, followed up by a 24 point, 15 rebound performance with two blocked shots as Salem State defeated MCLA.
  • Mari Kordell, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Jr., G, Ijamsville, Md.) - Kordell averaged 19 points, four assists, and 3.5 rebounds in leading MIT to a pair of key wins last week which put the Engineers in the NEWMAC Tournament for the first time since 2008. In a 57-56 victory at Babson College, she led all scorers with 23 points, going 8-of-15 from the floor, 3-of-5 from behind the arc, and 4-of-6 at the charity stripe while playing all 40 minutes. Kordell then produced 15 points, a game-high six assists, and four rebounds during 37 minutes of action in a 56-48 win over WPI. 
  • Meghan Gribbin, University of New England (So., G, Windham, Maine) - Gribbin shot the ball at an incredibly efficient rate during the week, including 73 percent from the field. The 5-5 point guard posted her first-career double-double at Curry with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Scored 13 of her 19 points and had two assists in the last 9:33 of the 2nd half against Roger Williams, just after the Nor'easters had fallen behind 40-35 in the game for the conference top seed.
